A Spooktacular Arrival

As the leaves start to change and the crisp autumn air settles in (in other places in the world, certainly not yet (ever?) here in Central Florida), there's a special kind of enchantment that sweeps over the most magical place on Earth. That's right – Halloween has arrived at Disney World! The parks have transformed into a spooktacular wonderland, offering guests a bewitching experience like no other. In this blog post, we'll take you on a thrilling journey through the enchanting world of Halloween at the Magic Kingdom.

One of the first things you'll notice as you step foot into Disney World during Halloween season is the stunning array of decorations that adorn every corner of the parks. Our personal favorites were the many scarecrows adorning the town square at the top of Main Street. I love the variety and artistry in these…I wonder if we could produce similar at home? Probably not. So, in the mean time, I’ll just stick to admiring the artistry here on Main Street. Which one is your favorite?

Another personal favorite of mine is walking through the stores along Main Street U.S.A. and admiring the Halloween merchandise. I say admiring because my husband may divorce me if I purchase more any more Halloween decor. Disney has some great Halloween merchandise available, from classical to whimsy, and everything in between. We made a special stop at the Crystal Arts shop to view the glass pumpkins that have been going viral lately. Here’s a few photos of Halloween-inspired merchandise there. To be honest, I loved the Headless Horseman far more than the glass pumpkins.

For those looking for less fragile Halloween merchandise, the Emporium is a great place to visit. Here we found pretty much everything Halloween-inspired currently offered at the Disney Parks. It was also here where I snuck in a purchase of a Halloween Minnie bubble blower, a Halloween onesie and stuffed Minnie Witch for our granddaughter back in San Diego. Joe was less opposed to the purchase as it wouldn’t be residing in our house and frankly what 18 month old doesn’t need a bubble blower?

So, while it’s still hotter than the surface of the sun in Central Florida, Halloween has definitely arrived. I would be remiss not to talk about the obvious pinnacle of Halloween festivity here at Disney World, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, otherwise known as the after-hours Halloween extravaganza that Joe doesn’t yet know he’ll be attending in early October. More on that in another blog post! However, now that you’ve seen some of the decorations and merchandise offered at the parks during this festive Fall season, which is your favorite? And, more importantly, are you “Team Purchase More Halloween Decor” or “Team No More Halloween”. I know which sides Joe and I fall!
